Yahoo and Altavista are now using the same INK database and relevancy SERPs
The only difference is with their use of sponsored links and their image search SERPs (yahoo is now using GOOGLE for images)

Yahoo has now effectively killed me in MSN, Yahoo, All the Web, Lycos, Inktomi, Alta Vista, and other smaller engines with their penalizations. Haven't had any business in two days now. When they were separate engines I had no problems. What a bunch of ___.

Yahoo sucks. Alta Vista had a chance to recover there for a bit, but they dropped the ball. Now Yahoo, et al, all look like cheap google wannabes.

I remember the day when I someone told me that ALTAVISTA was a good engine to be listed in......... I cannot remeber the last time I actually got a visitor from altavista.... and lots of my sites are listed.... I really don't think it 's used to much anymore.... I sure as hell don't use it.......

Altavista used to be the SE of choice for me 5 years ago... oh well.

Google SE just seems to index more pages for the topics that I'm looking for.

After refreshing while doing a search about 6:pm - suddenly a New design appeared - completely diffferent from the page just left.

Well I donno that how many people now uses yahoo.. all my friends , people i kno straight go and open google to search and infact now instead of saying "search engine" they people now call "google"
..
So.. I think the next era is coming of google.. don't worry about these SE..

I thought ALTAVISTA was some dodgy site. Well tbh its days are long over.

I'm going on the MSN Google.... No people dont say google instead of search engine.

People say the name of it, so people know what you are refering to.

If i said i was going on the search engine, you wouldn't know what one, but you would all guess Google as its the most popular.

even when I manage to rank in altavista I still don't get any traffic from them. I really don't know how they manage to survive.
