The best SEO Newsletters

Hi does anyone have any strong opinions on what SEO newletters are worth getting?

I seem to have register for a whole bunch, but the more I learn the more annoyed they get me. Plus they all seem to have one product that they constantly sell and all their news articles are about how good that product is. I like the idea of getting email SEO news and theories but I not sure which to trust.

There is no such thing as a good seo newsletter (imo).

They have the content and news but it is always biased towards whatever they sell of what offers they have.
BEST NEWS IS FRESH NEWS LIKE READING REAL PEOPLES POSTS TO GET THE BIGGER PICTURE AND SEE ALL POINTS OF VIEW.
SORRY, BUT I HIT THE CAPS LOCK BUTTON AND I AM TOO LASY TO REPOST.
I DIDNT MEAN TO SHOUT.

I find with the majority of the newsletters they are more about reactions. Out of the many I read, most get their material from forums like this one and by the time they distribute it, its fairly old news.

I can't name one out of the many I now receive that really offers anything valuable. There is one very popular one that I won't name here that in the last 6 months has had some downright dangerous editions IMO.

I agree with above, most of the newsletters are cr** and the information they present is usually pretty old. I have never seems to get a handle of doing newsletter for my sites even though I can collect tons of email address.

The only newsletter I would fully recommend as top of the line is Mike Grehan's newsletter. It's without a doubt one of the best I have received for about over 2 years. Usually Mike posts the articles he writes or interviews. There is a dull article thrown in every now and then but for the most part good stuff.

Like any other content, a newsletter is 90% bunk and 10% great. SEOChat is the same way - I never even read a full 50% of the threads, and only respond to the 10-20% that are really interesting. The same is true for any other forum, site or newsletter.

Right now I like the occassional article in Jill Whalen's Highrankings and Mike Grehan's, I use to enjoy WebProNews, but it hasn't been great of late - occassionally something of interest, but mostly boring.

I've pretty much given up on newsletters - I get all my current information through site feeds. Much easier to scan headlines from all my feeds than to filter through various different newsletters.

Rand, I feel the same about WebProNews - as of late it has been very very boring.

I've subscribed to the new SEO CHAT newsletter, but haven't received one yet. It'll be interesting to see how it fares. Who's writing it? Webby?

I really liked Sean Burns newsletter. But, I think he has stopped his newsletter now. So sad.

I find myself guilty of this as well except I usually scan the top 15 threads and see if there's something interesting

Of course, sometimes I feel kinda trollish and want to post some contrarian info. Hey, that's a lot of the time

Anyhow, on the newsletter issue, I can't name one that isn't flat out dull that I've read or a rehash of WMW or one of the other forums.

I tend to like a few blogs better. Threadwatch is nice, seomoz is great (go randfish!), donna's is nice as well.

G-Man
