Should I pay overture the 199.95

Will I see any benifit accross the web if I sign up for overture. I am not that interested in there ppc campaign but do there inclusions mean that much to the other search engines? Any opinions.

I dunno... I think google Adwords might be more effective. But overture has been around for a while, and has lots of searchengines that use its results. So i say go for it, see how it works out, then tell us!

I used oveture for 2 years...
Spending 1500$ a month...

Overture is ok they provide you with quality traffic....BUT and it a big BUT
They have problem in click abuse which means that if your competitor decide to click on your link over and over again you will be charged for that...
They claime to have a click abuse system who monitors abuse well, They don't !!!
we did a test clicking on our links over and over with 2 min break and at the end we were charged for them.
when you write to overture and complain you get a refund if you don't write you dont!

So be carefull and ask for a refund every month cause they only keep records for 2 months...

P.S regrading Adwards: Its great and you get good traffic but its impossible to get a refund for click abuse the dont admit that the system is wide open even if you send them your logs

I have used overture for my clients before. It's not that affective as getting ranked higher. Well, overture can be good if you get 1-3 placing on it and plus choose the right keywords. I have done analysis with my client's site between overture traffic and the Web results traffic.

With overture the company spent around $250 USD per day and didn't recieve much traffic.

With web results, the company increased their traffic by 3 times and paid no money for clicks.

So it really depends on what you want. If you have spare money, then you can use it on overture.

Also, most people don't look at sponsored listings. Many of them go for Web results.

Any way if you do decide to use overture always try to be in the third place. since the system shows the first three results then 2,3,4 then 3,4,5
so if you will be third your listing will show up 3 times
