Overture to buy FAST
I kid you not. Within a week or two of announcing the upcoming purchase of Altavista, Overture announced today that the Norwegian search provider FAST are next! The deal is to take place within the next few months they claim. FAST power T-online, Terra Lycos, InfoSpace, Tiscali und Freeserve. This puts Overture in second place as far as search provider is concerned.

It must certainly be a lucrative business, thats a lot of money theyre splashing around recently. Lots of Dotgones did the very same a few years back.
