influence of superlatives

today,

inktomi crawled another page under my domain, whereas I only paid for the homepage only.

it has not been indexed yet. but, i am hopeful that it will be indexed because it has been crawled. btw, that page has a few links from outside my domain.

also,
i was not showing in top 50 for my main 'competitive' keyword. now, i am number 1.

this happened after a minor change in the few words in the first sentence in body and the same minor change in meta keywords and description.

the minor change:
"lowest prices guaranteed" ---> "low prices promised"

i guess inktomi is totally against superlatives and/or "guaranteed" word!

i suggest you try this if you are not number 1

guaranteed is a spam keyword, i think that it gets picked up throught the filters..

same with "the best"..
