What exactly does inktomi do for your website? Where is inktomi's results listed?

Inktomi is owned by Yahoo.

With the recent switch by Yahoo to drop Google as the provider of their results and until Yahoo! updates their own search engine technology(April 2004), they shall be using some results from Inktomi!

That is correct.

Actually what is on Yahoo.com IS Yahoo!'s new technology. The current engine is a hybrid of Ink and Overture (maybe AlltheWeb but haven't had time to research). Those aren't pure Ink results on Yahoo. That IS the engine. In April Yahoo! is starting a paid inclusion program for the new engine.

Inktomi is also on MSN and Hotbot.
