crawled but not listed

Altavista crawled my site for a couple days 1.5 weeks ago. It crawled 4000 or so pages according to awstats. However, I don't think I have that many pages. Its been a while now and it still hasn't shown up on altavista.
How long does it typically take to be included?

It took a couple of months (yes!) before all of our pages appeared in the index.

So i think patience is the name of the game with AV.

honestly - why should you even care about AV? Their algo is so messed up, you get really poor results IMO. Focus on the big boys, and AV is certainly not one.

well... for one, they still exist, and two, I am getting alot of hits recently from them, and two have turned into $$$$$ and big $$$$ I might add.

People still use it... so you really cannot ignore it for your SEO clients.. but the rule still is... make your site content rich, user friendly, and even AV will eventually get to you... and send you people!
