There really isn't a lot we can say about then, which just might be the very reason they are not popular. I am surprised to see they have a Google PageRank of only 7, which is really nothing for a site of this size.

altavista definetly has its perks. Its news is pretty good, and alot of people keep it as their homepages. Its pretty nice, but its database kinda sucks... Its algorithim isnt as good as googles...by far.

Now I remember a few years ago I could get a top 10 for just about any term on AV....wish I could pill the same stunt with google though I do have a lot of really good rankings and not necessarily the ones I was optimising for.
