Altavista Scooter

My sites are currently getting crawled by scooter, slowly but it is a very deep crawl.
Question: When can I expect to be listed in Altavista. Does it work like Google with Deepcrawl dance and then getting in ?

Regards

Interesting question. Alta Vista shows the message "Refreshed in past 48 hours". Given their text along with the url it's not linked with DMOZ. My experience is they are much quicker at the moment once you're crawled.
I don't know about new sites though.

Can you let us know when you see your listing appearing first time?

I notice that Scooter is currently more active than Google even. Wonder what's going on. Both Crawls have been active every day (non-stop for hours on end) since April 14. I suppose this will all vary from domain to domain depending on many variables with regards to site activity.
Both go as deep. The only other one I have seen during the last 12 days is the Taiwanese spider.

How do you find out if your sites are getting crawled? And if so, how deeply? For any se that might be. I really would like to know.
Thanks,

Yes thank you
I was wondering what to search for to find "ANY" bots crawling my sites.
Within the logfiles that is. Perhaps there isn't a defined term other than "robot" or?
Best,
