AlltheWeb

Is AlltheWeb really worth it's weight and what about Ask Jeeves? It seems that 1000 of links show up on AlltheWeb but you might see a 90% cut in external links on Google.

I get like 3% of my traffic from ATW and thats being optimistic

yea, alltheweb is much inproved, and plenty of my pages are listed.... but I just get absolutely no traffic from them....

its like having the best food in town , and operating a restaurant in a basement with no sign....

LMAO good one clasi, I do like the kick as SERP's positions I get but what is the point if noone is seeing them?

Maybe one day Alltheweb will be a major player?

I think it wil one day be a major player. Certainly so if Google doesnt sort itself out quickly. The press in Germany at any rate are writing bad reviews for the first time about Google. I picked up a magazine today and it has a guy on the ropes, depicting the guy as Google. The article ripped Google to pieces for providing spammy serps. Although they had predicted vivisimo and teoma to take them over (I dont think so personally)

Alltheweb have the engine, they now need the right marketing boss and marketing budget.

Webby, Vivisimo doesn't seem to matter, but I could be wrong. How do you even add your site to Vivisimo? I am finally getting traffic and it's from Google or its technology, I hope they can stay around strong until I get SEO smart. Scrubtheweb and Altavista aren't helping me. But I have noticed spammers with highly rated places on significant keywords. I wonder if Ask Jeeves a fly by night company?
