Which smaller search engines would you advertise on?

...if you didn't use Google/Yahoo/Live to advertise, what other search engines are worth putting the money into?

-Altavista? Mamma? Web Crawler? Thanks.

I believe if you are advertising on Google you will also show up on Ask. BTW, My Ask traffic keeps climbing every month, they are doing a lot of advertising themselves.

Ummm, some you mentioned are in fact META CRAWLERS. They take results from some of the big search engines and combine them. No need to target them separately

But tell me, what did you mean by "advertise" ?

engines

check out enhance, 7search, miva, quigo for espn( not cheap though) but the first 2 are min 3 cent clicks i spend about 50 bucks a day on each with a cpa of about 50 cents, an extra 25 users for dirt cheap, enhance is increasing bids on the actually yesterday to 5 cents. MOST ALL 2nd tier companies, ask and basically every other engine known to man pull allresults from google or yahoo anyway, but you can tap into the 2nd tiers affiliate/ content network which is where the majority of my traffic on those comes from. So if someone was going to say, Why are you paying both companies when you only need to pay google to be on ask? the answer would be content network, and the reason these work is because they are such cheap bids, basically I advertise on about 6 or 7 2nd tiers, and combined they pull about what 1 of my accounts would pull on yahoo. hope that helped some.

You need to consider international search engines as well to expand your global reach, such as voila in France or Baidu in China
