Sir

I did not claim to be better than anybody. What I said was The site could be bigger than Google. Then again I am directing my efforts to people who actually know something. This would not be you. I am looking for a business person not a rattletrap.

My extreme apologies... I better stick to teaching my MBA marketing classes and not attempt to comment on business issues.

I realize you are trying to make your mark. What you should try to remember is that there are many professionals on this board that are likely older than your father with decades of business experience. You came in screaming when what you have to offer is a whimper.

Think you'd better change the name to rattletrap.com since the average business person will end up at http://ontheinter.net or possibly http://ontheinter.com/ and not @ your domain.

for a start, how many catchy Search engines have hyphons in the URL. 0

Hyphons are a no-no ;)

1 more thing, if a SE is attempting to overthrow Google, the last resuilts they should use would be google, beacuse If by some stroke of miraculous genius on-the-Inter.net became larger than Google and forced them out of business (which doesnt even happen in my dreams), then they would close their on-site search systems, and inturn on-the-Inter.net. Not a wise business decision, even i can see that, and business isnt my middle name..

You may also want to consider the Welcome Paragraph too. I have highlighted in red what needs fixing:

Welcome, Were glad you finally decided to get on the Inter.net. If your going to get on the Internet you might as well do it with us on the Inter.net. In addition to our best rated affiliates we are offering advertising that can not be gotten anywhere else. As if that was not enough when you (get on-the-Inter.net) as in join our exclusive mailing list you will be eligible to win a bran new Harley Davidson Motorcycle.

Maybe:

Welcome, Were glad you finally decided to get on-the-inter.net. In addition to our super efficient and accurate search services and best rated affiliates we are offering advertising that can not be found anywhere else. As if that was not enough when you join our exclusive mailing list you will be eligible to win a 'Brand New' Harley Davidson Motorcycle!

Personally, I would revise the entire page, to look more like this:

In my experience this venue is to help each other... since you arrived your posting style suggests self promotion ONLY and that doesn't appear is going to change any time soon

So good luck with your plan to be the better Google.

I dont think you offended anyone don't take it to heart. Just sometimes the way you approach a subject will define how people respond. To be able to claim to better google is a big statement that needs to be backed up.

If you are as gone as you say you are from the forums, Good luck in your future endevours. If not, see you around in the forums.

That was pretty funny, poor guy. He was just trying to promote his little thing. He obviously isn't going to impress anybody doing things that way.

Too bad. Perhaps he could have got some information here that can't be gotten anyplace else.

LOOKOUT GOOGLE!

I actually liked the look of his index page. It was his starting about 5 or so threads here at SEO Chat screaming that his search engine would beat Google in the long run. It just took a moment to see that all his screaming and pitching of "his" search engine was nothing but a search site using the Google engine. I did not feel sorry for him primarily because he started so many ignorant threads on the subject. Ok, ok, next time I will try to be nicer.

He should stick around and see if he can learn something. I learn every day... or at least try to.
