Thomas Register
I am embarressed by how much my company pays them each year. Recently I started SEO, and now we outplace thomas twice. The boss says I should decide what the relative budgets should be. I say cut them out period. All potential customers are going to click on us first anyway.
Yet maybe we need to be there just for credability, and also, they provide us with three google backlinks, which we would loose if we cut the budget. Any Thoughts, or better yet, practical experience? |

I would look at how many clicks you get from them and how much you think the backlinks are worth, then weigh that with the cost of the listings.
If it doesn't provide a positive ROI for you it may be wise to drop the listing and put the money into something else like PPC. |
