There is a Add this plugin.
If you click on it, you see a list of social bookmarking sites, and if you click on one of them, you bookmark the page. You can also mail ... I think most people here know the plug in, it is for WordPress. Now, does it also excist for your own CMS, or cant you just add it to a normal html page or something? Becous, I'm making a site, and I don't want the whole list of SB sites under the 'post'. I just want Del.icio.us/Digg/Furl and next to that Share this, with the other SB's and the forward option. But I need to know now, is this possible. (It may be static, becouse it is for on the homepage, so the URL they will bookmark is always the same. So this must be possible, but I don't know how to get the code.) thank you

I've used this plugin for one of my personal sites, and as far as I'm aware it's written exclusively for Wordpress blogs (and very effective it is too! The mail function is used a lot more than I expected).
If you only need the links for the homepage, you can get them manually, i.e. Digg is: http://digg.com/submit?phase=2&url=[url]&title=[title] Del.icio.us is: http://del.icio.us/post?url=[url]&title=[title] where [url] and [title] are, well, the page url and the page title! The expanding and collapsing of the box (if that's what you want to go for) would need to be written in JavaScript, although a search through the sharethis.js file in the plugin folder could help. |
