Nifty promo, however the search engine is kinda, err, crap... I suspect there is more hassle in getting the free add space than it is worth..

well I say let em advertise...doesn't hurt to see what's out there and it helps with feedback, this is a forum. I would prefer if it was more of a "hey please give feedback" type of post then a "giveaway"

Ah, another Monty fan.

Anyway, regulars here pointed out to me that SeoChat is a very tolerant and open forum, allowing people to even post live links as long as there's any "news value".
But I agree that people advertising on their first or second post (or even on their first up to sixth post) should have a tattoo on the forehead reading: "Obvious spammer".
