You must have accidentally included the period at the end, because the page exists, but if you add a period to the end (by accidentally including it when you copy and paste the URL he listed) you will get that error message.

Can someone tell me if submission to different search engines will help your SERPs? (not including major ones)

You will have to submit your website in each search engines to get listed in all of them. Means, if you have not submitted your domain in Google search engine then it will not show your web pages when somebody will search in Google. But if you have submitted in Yahoo then only Yahoo will display your webpages.

pagi disagrees: You only need backlinks to be indexed in all search engines, you dont have to submit to any.
