Holy MSN Update!?
Does anyone else notice a change in traffic from MSN recently? My website that was dropped from Google during 'Florida' has just skyrocketed on MSN and is giving me more traffic than Google ever did!

Well, sorta....Basically I went from MSN bringing in 0.5% of my traffic (pretty consistently month after month) to 3% traffic. A long way away from overtaking Google, but still a definite increase. (It helps that my main kw phrase went from nowhere on MSN to #4.)

I found:
MSN only eats your title and "meta description" and ignore your page specifics such as <h>, etc. So, if I am right, to optimize for msn, you just make sure your description is good. I just used the keywords "international callback" and found top 5 were indexed that way. |

I just noticed 5 of my websites at position 1 or 2 of MSN. Maybe there's hope after Florida.
Where are the MSN results generated from e.g. Inktomi, Looksmart, etc. ??? |

Sounds like a new site in the making to me, Diana. Picture it if you will. It is Everytown, 2004. (I watch too many episodes of Golden Girls). The site allows cute cheerleader-type girls, and boy-next-door guys, to submit their photos in some sort of cheerleader-pose, and each one automatically gets a sign posted over them cheering for one of the Inktomi-based sites. Ok, bad idea... oh well, i come up with better ones now and then.

LOL Donna. My husband would kill for that site... Ummm... well... errr ok, maybe just me in a cheerleading costume. LOL Men & cheerleaders, i shall never understand.
At my school cheerleaders were ummm... oh wait... I understand. ;) And they weren't very nice either. LOL -Diana |

Msn is now 11.8% of my traffic..but then googly and yahoo haven't been giving me any so it has had time to catch up.
I love my rankings at msn though. |
