please help me to know how often google crawls a site?

There is no such fixed time. The better your site in terms of backlinks, in terms of content updates, in short the more active your site is, higher is the frequency of Google Bot coming at your site.

see seochat is visited by google so frequently that you can see your post Title on top of SERPs after 1-2 hrs of posting on forum.
So one can't predict when G will visit your site but on an average once in a week is quite fair statement.

Anyways just a suggestion! This is not something as important and something to be so concentrated and worries about that you need help on it.

As you will progress more and more with working on various sites, you will get a fair idea of the crawl rate.

Googlebot crawls

The most important factor is popularity, for the forum the number of people replying to a thread and the freshness i.e how fast it is getting updated..these factors mainly determine frequency of the crawl. which for very popular threads may be within 2-10 days.
