Help about H1 Tags
Hi,
One of the on-page optimization factor is 'Adding H1 Tag' If I add the H1 Tag inside the
tag, will it be understood by Google bot or I should mention it outside. Thanks. |

the Gbot reads it no matter where it is..and yes that includes 'in' a
too....and you can use .css to modify how it looks but it still carrys the "juice" of an
!!!!

Yep as ^^ mentioned, they won't have any issues. Just remember that you shouldn't abuse header tags otherwise the spiders won't give any special weight to them.

Are H1 tags suggested to be implemented on every page? Currently, the SEO expert who is designing my site does not have H1 tags on every page (including the home page). How important is this to the SE's?

cautionary note to Nick's posting above....
many many .edu sits have LONG LONG academic pages complete with a scholar's margin and links, references, ibids, biblios etc etc. and like most scholarly papers....they often have dozens of
s....as that's the way these academics do layouts/abstracts etc.. so..my point is that the usage of
s, as we've learned is often 'interpreted' via the Google algo, in some kind of relation to the actual TLD....least that's what we've shown. oh, for you 'get-rich-quick' types, what I'm NOT saying is that on your buy Viagra page you should have like 55
s....that doesn't work, duh!!!! LOL, JV. And here I was about to get myself a viagra page.
Back to topic, would you recommend having an H1 (at least one) on every page of a site? |

I tell you boldly: If an SEO is doing work on your site, but does not place a h1, that SEO is not doing work on your site, just charging you. Yes, overtime headings have become less of a factor for ranking, and even alt-attributes for images probably count more: still not placing a
is shoddy on-page SEO. No expert SEO can give a solid reason to leave out h1. Every good SEO can give a reason to place h1 and maintain a semantical document structure. Think of the blind users who use headings to navigate your content. If you design your site to be functionable for those with accessibility concerns, you are also doing a good job in keeping the search engines happy.
