Google indexing lag time?
Here is a question I am sure someone here will know the answer to.
I have a fairly new website (almost 2 months) I am building, googlebot has visited 3 times now, but nothing ever shows up in any search for the site. Is there a lag time from the time a visit is made, until the site gets put into the index where something will show up in a search? Secondly, on the first visit, I had the robots command set to "NoIndex" by default in dreamweaver. I have since then changed it to "index, follow" after I discovered it, will this have any affects on the amount of time it will take to get my pages indexed? Any help will be appreciated! |

In my experience there is always a lag time, I wouldn't want to guess but it 'feels' like 3-5 weeks, sometimes, especially lately. If you had no robots, that won't have helped, but if there were separate 'entrance points', then there the site may be spidered-less the homepage. since all lower pages are 'indexes' too.
