Cache conundrum
last week we moved my website obsessionart.com (also obsessionart.co.uk) to a new server as traffic outgrew the current shared server.
however, while the site had a holding page up, Google cached us. for a few days, when we appeared on Google's listings, the holding page META information was showing, rather than the carefully selected key words that we traditionally use for SEO purposes.
Since then, Google has recached the site about four times. However, depending on what I now type in to the Google search box, the site listing now appears with EITHER the correct re-established META information or shows up as the non-marketing-friendly holding page text.
This seems to depend on what I type in to the search box, but I thought that if the site had been recached (especially four times) then it shouldn't ever show the holding page text again.
You can see exactly what I mean by searching on Google for "erotic prints" (the correct META info shows) and then again for "erotic art" (the wrong META info shows).
As I said, I was hoping that this would have resolved itself by now but it hasn't. Does anybody have experience of this? Is it something I need to work on to resolve or will it happen naturally over the next week or so.
Thanks,
Mark
