If you use Zeus, you still have to work!
It is not a magic pill. A lot of people who are used to doing things by hand are immediately turned off by anything that suggests automation.

Zeus does two things very well. 1. He acts as an actual internet spider, roaming from your desk top. You train Zeus to find the type of sites you are interested in (you determine the relevancy).
I think this is so cool!! It's like having your own search engine that you set relevancy standards for. It crawls the web for hours and hours so you don’t have to.

Once it finds web site you MANUALLY approve them. You send CUSTOMIZED letters to other webmasters requesting a link.

The 2nd thing Zeus is GREAT at is helping you manage all this information. It tracks email correspondence you have had with other webmasters, who your link partners are. It even has a built in feature that audits your entire link directory checking if site are still linking back to you and if there are any broken links in the directory.

If you are already involved in a linking campaign and know how to do things the RIGHT way that using Zeus the RIGHT way will help you tremendously!! Check it out. They have an unlimited free version at www.cyber-robotics.com (I am not an affiliate, I just love the program).

I still say doing it manually is best...
IMHO ZEUS BAD....

This is what google is trying to stop these programs...
Why cant you just check backwards links for a term for the number one site for that term...

then just email those sites for links....

Why use programs...Everyone is so quick to use programs...

if you have the time, effort, and will to do it manually, more power to ya - keep it 'old fashion'. however, for a lot of us, zeus helps supplement our efforts and makes our job a little easier.
