Are you looking for software that will read your logs or are you looking for a script to put on your pages that collects (and reports) that information?

For log analysis I suggest using the free version of Funnel Web Analyzer.

I use StatCounter.com and it has been great for traffic/user reporting summaries. You can check specific details and tweak your site's flow, so for the next time the user comes you can make the sale!

I like ClickTracks myself. Like WebTrends and HitBox but ALOT less expensive.

PLUS you can visually see what links people are clicking on from page to page. Very useful for designing a page around your users.

I'm to cheap and I like free. There is an open source product you can use that is comparable to statcounter.com but more detailed (imho) phpmyvisits. Its easy to set up and a pretty decent tracking online tracking system.

you can down load it here: down load me

You need a counter that has proven to be free and reliable for a long time.

There is nothing worse than having one slap a charge on you after a few month and pulling the free service or just turning into a broken link after a few months meaning you have to go and update the code on 300 pages.

I have them all in a php include but some people dont.

The statcounter has an invisible option so they dont look cheesy , they look `invisible`.
