track website progress
Hi Everyone seeing this is my first post, thought I might ask a question that no other se forum could answer for me.
Here is the deal I have been employed for a small company to make websites and do the se work on them, the sites have only been up for say 2 months now, and I was wondering how do you people go about tracking each website. My boss has asked me to show him if we are going down or up in ranking in google, i tried using googleranking for each keyword but is there a tool or any other way you use to track your websites progress, any advice would be handy. |

I believe this is kind of what you are looking for:

you need to define "progress" first - by PR, by SERP, by traffic, by unique users or all of them. Then you can find online tools for the things you want to track.

Exactly right dejaone!
Tell him you can get him the #1 spot for "soeshtos sokesh1209" in about 5 days...but if he wants a keyword other people want, it will take longer...if he just wants instant traffic, try google adwords (PPC)...if he wants pr, start buying some links...find out what he considers successful, and focus on that...don't worry about the things he doesn't care about until you fulfill what he does care about. |

Good software
Hi, urbdesigns. I've been doing the same thing as you before. I found a software that helped me to track my web site progress easily. The features it provided save me a lot of time. Therefore, it's no long a hassle for me to know what is my current web ranking. It is worth for a free trial. It's called Dynamic web ranking 4.0
