SEO JOB - what is the rate of SEO company?

hello all,

I am thinking to outsource SEO job. basically, looking for a first page ranking result.

when it comes to choose SEO firm/SEOer - Deliver the promising quality is a must. when it comes to pricing.

I have no reference at all, plus it's quite varies.

I try to evaluat from the job SEO firms are offering including

- building inbound links
- content writing
- keyword analysis
- first page result on Google/msn/yahoo

Can someone please advise your experience? How much did you guys pay for ? what's the rate?

Also, I would love to hear from SEOer.

What i am looking at is a "FAIR" deal. SEO firm claims what they CAN do, they HAVE TO be confident with their works. They would offer satisfactin guarantee/money back. is it legitimate to ask for?

Any price depends upon the difficulty of the job. Getting first page SERPs for "greenmonkeybriefs" would be really easy - I would do it for you for $5. But a term like "hosting" has a lot of very very savvy people gunning for it and a lot of money is at stake - so the competition is brutal.

It all comes down to page design, good writing, good code and recruiting adequate backlinks. For highly competetive terms you can expect to spend thousands of dollars per month - and the price should not be considered firm because you never know what the competition will do in response to a new site climbing the SERPs.

there are no guarantees and price (higher) doesn't necessarily mean better performances.

Experience within a specific industry does have an edge in that they already know what to expect.

Research into company/firm history will go along way, and actually talking to referrals (clients) helps as well.

Never rely totally on a single company (go with 3 and compare) and if the company uses their own results to suggest "their ability" ask for other results (clients).

When you get to "contract" read it (and all of it) don't just sign... note provisions, disclaimers and if they have none - avoid them.

Like an advertising company you also need to evaluate each one, compare rates and view their client results (and failures). I get shopped all the time.

Well one SEO Company I would die to have if I had the money is SEO Guy. He is on the Top 10 for almost every SEO Keyword. Treats customers like it was his own family member LOL. He's that nice of a guy.

This in IMO one of the most common erratas many people have about SEO. I never accept clients that want money-back TOP10 guarantee. No SEO can guarantee that - it's a fact of life. In europe we have pretty strict legislation, that orders some refunds if the quality of bought service sucks or does not match describtion. That is enough (at least for me) to keep service level as good as possible.

If you have huge amounts of assets (mainly money), then the likelyhood of getting certain position rises. For about $100k I'm pretty sure each and everyone could get #1 for something really competitive such as hosting. But would it be worth it in ROI is another thing.

I'm more incline to your view 2K.

I GUARANTEE I will never negatively affect a business or their website, and

I GUARANTEE I will produce competitive advantage.

Beyond that: they can deal with a superior SEO and take their chances! ;)
