Search Engine Submission

Whats the best way to submit your new site to all the search engines? I know Google works fast if you just have a nice link pointing to your site, but what about the others?

Most search engines will eventually pick your site up naturally...

The main two search engines (google/inktomi) both have submit url forms, but are both rumoured to not work, so what you dsaid above is probably the best free method (Point a nice link to your site)

Heres the subit url forms anyway:
Google: http://www.google.com/addurl.html
Inktomi: http://submitit.bcentral.com/msnsubmit.htm
AllTheWeb: http://addurl.alltheweb.com/add_url
AltaVista: http://addurl.altavista.com/addurl/new

Oh, another reasonably important one I forgot is http://ask.ineedhits.com/sitesubmit.asp for ask jeeves/teoma... I think its worth paying for if the spider wont index you naturally, but I haven't ever needed to pay to get into teoma.

A good link is all it takes, trying to get on the major search engines by submission alone will not do you any good.
