Hello SEO Crew, first time poster, long time reader.
I've had some good experiences taking advice from this board, increased my PR on my site and traffic. Now i'm ready to start taking some more steps. Reading the forum i've come across a lot of good suggestions for press releases, prweb, businesswire etc. I was wondering if anyone had a preference. And if a press release is a good idea for a retail site for bags & luggage. We also have a blog dedicated to our products that is a lot of fun, but as of yet we haven't promoted it. Is a press release a good tool for that as well, or should i stick to Social Networking sites? Thanks in advance o SEO guru's Josh |

i think press releases are a great idea to help promote your bag and luggage site. i used to write weekly press releases for a small real estate company i worked for. while the company was relatively unknown, each time i wrote and published a press release, we would receive a dozen calls which equalled some new and some potential business for us. also, press releases definitely help with your page rankings. our releases were cited and posted on a number of other websites and blogs. so in my humble opinion, i definitely say that press releases can enhance the art of getting your name out.
