PageRank-aware submission database

I have an idea that I want to share with the colleagues around...

We routinely submit our URLs to hundreds of Page-Rank 4+ SEs and directories. It is a slow and cumbersome process, as most of you know. Some places demand reciprocal link or banner, some ask for proof of humanity (like Altavista´s stupid quiz), some reject sites with certain language, scope or regional attributes.

To make this task easier, we started to compile a database of all the worthwhile (PageRank 4+) sites that accept URLs for listing. We also designed a table to keep our projects´ attributes. Then, we can match both tables and find the appropriate places to submitt a site.

So, if we are promoting a site that doesn´t agree to link exchanges, deals about XXX matters and only applies to local viewers, we know beforehand to which sites to submitt... maybe a fourth of the total list... so we save time...

The database can be edited online to keep track of which projects were submitted to which SEs. The SEs that changed policies or just died can also be edited...

Do you get the idea ?

Well, this project was meant to service our own 20 URLs and a few customer´s ones... but I am thinking in offering this service for a charge... maybe 100 URLs will be free and the whole 500 will cost a few dollars...

Questions:

Is something like this already existing?

Do you think is feasible?

Will this process improve my PageRanks?

Any ideas on how to improve it?

If someone wants to see it, please let me know...

Thanks for your input!

Sergio

good idea ... but

it is a good idea, but you should look at the page rank of the links page and probebly devide the list by indestries and intrest

Thanks BroadProspect for your reply...

Of course, you are right... So far we are only considering the PageRank of the home page, but we can also include the links page....

Listing the sites by subject is too complex for us at this point. We are only distinguishing "subject limitation" or "all subjects"...

We plan to add other features, like a time calculator which will let users plan the time that a certain campaign will take...

Any other opinion ? I have posted this project in 3 site-promotion forums around, and I got very little feedback so far...

The project advanced some...

If you visit www.FoundFirst.com you can see how the project is right now. It is quite usable, but unfinished yet...

I know of at least one SEO company that is offering a similar service. Once they built a vertical email list of site owners, they are repeatedly sending link requests for different clients in the same vertical. Works like a charm. I have been the recipient of many of such requests from them-and have approved them.

I would not "lend out" the email list, since that would quickly cause spam, but would use that to serve link exch. clients in an ethical and professional way.

It works.

We already have a resident database of sites for whom we send request every week for link exchanges for our clients.

It saves lotta time and efforts....and you get quality links in return...
