Traffic
Pay Per Click (eg Adwords) is the only way to get quality instant traffic. But if you cant afford that try submitting to lots of social bookmarking sites, eg Digg.

For my casino related sites I use Yahoo PPC which allows gambling sites, unlike Google who block gambling ads even for UK customers.

If you know anyone who has a CAD content site write an article and reference your website. It'll get some traffic and it will be targeted.

Become known as an expert in your field.

There are lots of ways to do that, inc magazine articles and writing in forums (like this one). Ideally find some CAD forums and write in there to establish your name.

Yes, I agree that PPC will help boost your site's traffic though it costs much expensive so you need to have enough budget.
