Google hacks book

Saw this on CNN last night..

I just placed my order. We need a book for the (O)DP. The book would be short. To get listed in ODP follow one of the following steps:

1. Get your page under the domain www.cnn.com.
2. Hire an unpaid ODP editor to navigate the acceptance gauntlett.
3. Become an ODP editor.
4. Get bought by AOL, then submit your page.

But then what's the use. Few use the ODP except to get listed in other search engines. And then when you do use it 50% of the requests result in a 404 error.

Does this book contain any info on helping with SEO, or just stuff for integrating the API?

I think i might have to buy this...

I bought the book last week and it is interesting and doees have a few chapters about SEO. It is good for a starter in this area but if you know your salt, I do not think it has any new secrets for you.

Have a site with quality content and you dont need the other things.

I submitted a site to ODP and it was listed within a month, I applied to become a ODP editor and I was accepted within a month, maybe I am just plain lucky, however I did follow their guidelines.

Just something like that i need! I'm from Poland and noticed, that there is no book like that to buy in my country. So... I've decided to write my own 8) and add my own suggestions to polish SE. This is a great idea becouse I work as a webpositioner in my company and have to stay in touch with any news. All I need is to take a look at similar book, and of course read it So here is my question- has somebody an PDF or eqivalent book or know where to get it? I'll be very grateful for Your help.
