If you are a truly upstanding citizen you would post the actual directory url. Why not?

I am eternally sorry. I am currently building a web directory which goes live on friday. I posted a link to the add url page so my friends out there who want to promote their site(s) can add the url for spider processing (tomorrow). The site, technology and algorithms are all new and I am hoping that the directory will offer something new to the internet community (both searchers and web masters).

So to all those I offended by first posting in the relevant forum and then in the busiest forum (where I thought it would be better received) I apologise. It was obviously a mistake on my behalf to post to a forum where cynics would slap me down.

You will not hear of the directory again.

i am not exactly sure what the problem is.
you can also post your directory in the 'directories>other directories' section of this forum to announce it.

jj, my apologies, when you came on the other post looking for folks to signup for your directory, I accessed you site and found nothing except the form which appeared to be minimal at best and only gathering sites and emails. There was nothing to show what your directory is about, any categories, etc, etc. etc. I never signup for anything blind.

I suggest you activate your directory, then come back for us to signup. I just like to see what I am buying into prior to making the plunge. :smile:

No email required. Just site URLs for the spider to process. I didn't want the spider to start with DMOZ.
