Question "buildtraffic.net" and others...

I am basically new to building and optimizing websites, so
please forgive my ignorance...But does anyone has opinions
or recommendations about using resources like www.buildtraffic.net
and others like them.

I would like to know if these services (meta tag generation,
page generators, scheduled submissions, etc,) are actually
valuable tools that work well, or is my time and money better
spent in just learning to do all the SEO tasks "manually"...

Also, along the same lines, is Webposition Gold truly worth
the investment?

Thanks for any feedback.

Don't use any of it! A complete waste of time IMO.

Stick to learning about SEO here.

I think programs like buildtraffic.net and others are useful if used properly. I have noted that buildtraffic.net also offers many other features that are invaluable when it comes to doing any type of SEO.
While the automated submissions are fine for smaller engines I would not use them for the major ones. I would look at the other tools offered like the link relevancy, link popularity, keyword density checkers.

Whoa, stay far far away from that site. I don't mean to knock the place down a notch or two. But the site looks like something out of 1999....700,000 search engines, Yeah right! Doorway page generator....are you kidding? The tools page doesn't even have any tools, and you have to pay for ones you can most likely get free elsewhere.

NOPE. If you are going to spend money there, you might as well flush it down the toliet.

If you are considering WebPosition Gold, then I do reccommend it. I only use it for ranking reports these days, but its got some helpful features, and great tools, if you would like to purchase the software.

If you really are looking for some great tools. First I recommend the tools I have over at my site:

http://www.globalpromoter.com/seo-tools/
There are over 18 different tools for FREE.

I also a huge fan of www.digitalpoint.com tools. Here has some excellent ones such as keyword suggestion, yahoo, backlink checker, etc..

Additionally, one that really is worth every penny for google ranking, is seocount.com. The backend interface and setup of this tool is excellent. It makes for an amazing record of positions over the year if you keep up with it.

There are plenty of other tools out there as well, do a search for search engine optimization tools. Stay away from sites like buildtraffic.net, and spend you money and energy wisely.

You can find almost all Website Promotion Information For Free. Remember that no one really knows the key. So be aware that some software/companies act like they have all the answers.

I do use some software but it is only for checking ranking and pulling reports that would normally take hours.

SEO chat is the way to go.

Red face A Belated Thank You!

When I made that post I was still new to this site, and I must have been having a hard time - I could swear I checked back for days in a row and saw no replies, and then I just gave up.

Anyway, Thanks to all of you who posted, the feedback was very helpful, and pretty much confirmed my suspicions.

Best,
D-garo

Not related to above mentioned site, but is a relevant point...

i can get you 100,000+ hits for about £2 ...

When you buy these sort of schemes all you are doing is costing you more (usually for most setups) money for extra bandwidth.

These schemes are 99.89% of the time done by programs and web applications i.e. no actual human visits your site

Work on SEO to get "unique visitors"... you need them not "hits"!

Dan

p.s.
The more unique visitors you get the more hits you get (when you SEO).
The more hits you get, the number of unique visitors dont change (when you use these schemes).
