XML sitemap question
Hi,
I have an XML sitemap for the landing page, and my question is should I create a separate XML sitemap for the secondary pages within my site? For example, let's say I'm working with popsugar.com and created an XML sitemap for the landing page, do best practices include separate XML sitemap for individual "celeb" pages internally? Thanks |

You just create one sitemap for your website, as it's very easy for you to manage the links in it.

Make a Single Sitemap
Hi ,
You can club all of your links in single xml sitemap & submit it to Search Engine Webmaster Tools. |

Actually
Each subpage is a page of links within itself, and I know you can adjust the frequency of the crawl within the map, and some pages are updated more than others.
Could I create 1 XML map for the homepage (It would have a ton of links on it) then sub maps for each sub page? The reason why I ask is because the subpage does not have crawlable links so I'd have to do them manually until we get our butts in gear with proper SEO practices. MV |
