WWW or without WWW
This is dilshad , new member of SEOCHAT
i have a site and ranking position under 200 in google BUT without WWW
like : htlp://abc.com
i want to know
should i create backlinks without WWW or with WWW.
example :-
htlp://abc.com
or
htlp://www.abc. com
please suggest me which one is the right answer?
i also posted this question on DP but not received any answer.

If you redirect the non-www to the www, or the opposite, you'll only have one set. Then, if you pick to use the non-www, get links to point to the non-www version.

i think URL should be write with WWW like www.abc
It need for seo..

It will be good for back links to add www but first of all your site needs to be redirect from www to non www version or vice versa.

Choose which version you prefer - the www or non - www. 301 redirect it to that version and all your backlinks, either with www or non-www will be redirected to the version you prefer.

I have sites that require subdomains. For those sites using the www seems to be the most logical approach.

Hi,
Do 301 redirect code for this site.It is main part of seo.And it is upto to you want redirect www.abc to abc.com or abc.com to www.abc you have to use redirect code for better ranking of your site in google

I prefer without www since it makes URL address 4 characters shorter.

First i think you redirect non www link to www. It's better if you use http://www (dot) abc (dot) com

You can simply use 301 redirect on your .htaccess file, it can redirect you www version to non www or vice verse, according to the codes.

First and the main you do is redirect without www to with www and start building the links from www...
