    Worth forwarding a domain?

I own a domain that I am no longer using.

    AHREFS: DR=10

    MOZ: DA=36

Is it worth keeping this domain, and redirecting all pages to another site that I am trying to boost?

    The domains are totally unrelated.

Most of the links are on old calendar and blog entries on other sites, so I think they are unlikely to go away,

Do you feed your family with these websites? If not, and you're just hoping for better ranks, try it. Now others might show up here and ask about relevance and anchor text. Those are the questions you'd want to look deeply into if losing ranks would cause pain in your life.

I say do it, and report back here in 2 weeks with the results

Unless you have similar content on the new site, I would say you'll get very little benefit from directing because google's PageRank algorithm has significantly changed over the years. Is the content theme similar?

Nope, it will hurt your rankings.
    Let me explain.

For example, the expired domain is about games and your new website is about quotes. So the gaming traffic will immediately bounce back from your quote site, and it is a bad signal in Google's eye.
Your ranking of quote site will drop for sure.
