Will this duplicite text hurt our rankings?
We decided to use flash on our homepage and when I view our website through spiderview it repeats the text in our flash slide show 8 times (once for every pic) I've read that repeating or duplicate content will negatively effect our search engine rankings, is this true?
Thanks

Ok so it should just say this just once.
"Driving Sustainability and Smart Energy Solutions Specializing in the latestclean energy technologies and their applicationswithin high-efficiency building systems designed to getthe most out of every energy dollar"
But it repeats itself 8 times, once for every picture in our flash. It won't let me link to our website or the spiderview.

I looked at your code and it looks like it's a setting in your slide show...I also see there's nothing in the alt tag. Maybe someone who understands the slide show will know what your doing wrong.

Do you mean the image alt tag? Thanks for looking. I can pm you the site and spiderview results if that helps?

Naw no pm needed, it's not my bag...it's coding or how to set up those cool thingies that one installs on a web site, you need a web developer or a coder not an SEO person.
Hence the reason I said.

good luck...hopefully someone will stop by and be of help.

it doesn't look like flash. i don't know how drupal works, but it's a slideshow and the text is tied to each slide. if you can find where the slideshow settings are in the administrator section of your site, you can change stuff there.

Obviously,it will effect the ranking for the duplicate content it will show as a spam site and the submission will go waste .To remove the submission site from the spam you will have to contact the web designer person so that it cannot effect the ranking and the duplicate content wash out from the site.

Even if its within the Meta Description tag? Isn't the Meta Description tag the 2nd most important aspect in SERP?
Thanks
