Who has heard or used Cloudninepbs?

This company with hard selling sales people has been bugging the H out of us for 2 weeks.

Who has heard of them or dealt with them?

Basically they claim they have installed their "system" on 16 million computers in the US and Canada connected to the web - mostly home computers.

They sell a system, whereby for searches on 10 SE's for those 16 million computers, when you do a search...on the term or terms you choose, on the top part of the screen, your web site shows...and underneath your site... the search.

Frankly it is impressive looking technology. Punch in the search term and your site shows. It is like SUPER PPC with your site dominating everything.

Very hard sale. I also think that consumers who want a true search will be unhappy with this as it overlays a single vendor over a true search.

Didn't like the tone of the sales people. Must be a sweat shop sales office.

Anybody have any experience with these folks?

Sounds just like the way those search hijack adware things work. Scummy products, scummy people. They should all be forced to live with spyware and adware taking over their machines 24/7 (and that's the mildest punishment I can think of). (My opinion only).

Very hard sale b****ards.

They charge about $1000/year. Went right to how much does your **** cost and how many sales would it cost to pay for this. When my colleague was balking the sales guy last week the S*B went right to I'm going to sell this to all your competitors.

I don't think I'd sit down for tea with these guys.
