Where to start?
Hi all!
Im fairly familiar with CMS and basic html editing and want to get deeper into SEO since that is very unfamiliar for me.
Im doing a special course of basic web designing on my school, and since I know the most already when compared to other students, I am given other tasks.
One would be to create a document that could function as a SEO guide for the other students, and give a presentation.
I know google has a standard document on SEO that is worth reading, what else would be of very good use according to you guys?
I need to research it and give my opinion on it, so dont ask "why make a guide when there are a lot of them out there already"
Thanks guys!

I would start with reading Google's SEO Starter Guide PDF: http://static.googleusercontent.com/external_content/untrusted_dlcp/www.google.com/en/us/webmasters/docs/search-engine-optimization-starter-guide.pdf

To be honest, anything besides those two sources would probably be rubbish or a rip-off of those two sites.
Between the two, you have many pages of resources, information and documentation.
Best of luck!

SEOBOOk is another alternative to read for SEO. Must try good tutorials for Youtube videos.

I would also read the stickies in these forums too. Might not be anything in them to use as material but will give you a good fundamental understanding...

Read as much as you can.
And do practice. Without practice this is worthless.

Read about Search Engine Optimization
Hi,
On internet you can read as much as you can read about SEO techniques as this will increase your knowledge about SEO and will help you for upgrading ranking of any site.

thegodfather and myself provided great resources. I'm closing this thread as it's simply attracting spam now. OP, I hope this data has helped you.
