What do you say about software/services for search engine submission?
What do you say to a client or friend who says, "I got an email that says I can submit my site to 1000 search engines using their service or software"? I think I know the answer, but I wanted to get it from the experts.

There are only a handful of search engines worth worrying about (the ones that drive the majority of web traffic and provide feeds for lesser tier engines). They are all crawler based. You don't need to submit to them.
Most submission services are, IMO, scams.
