What do I do about the rest?

    Hey, guys.

So I wanted to know, in regards to on-page optimisation.

There's only really one or two pages on my website that I have optimized on-page for as im unable to do so for the other pages on my website because the keywords that i would like to rank them for don't really fit the theme of the rest of the pages of my website, nor do i have enough content on these pages to really utilise keywords..

So the question is, what do I do about the rest of these pages? Do i still use keywords on them related to my niche? Leave them blank? Or just literally describe the page. Even if it's seems really irrelvant to my niche and the keywords that are best suited for my business?

    Thanks for all your help!

It's an obvious answer to me....

Either rewrite the current pages targeting those words or create new pages provided that they are about the site's topic and remove the old pages. About the only thing you can do.

Why would you target topics that are not related to your site. You will just confuse Google and the others and not "Rank" in the serps!

It's the fact that the keywords that i want to target for my niche aren't in any related to these pages. Also these aren't just pages i can change as they are needed.

"Date night page", but the niche is long distance relationship. Don't want to rank it for date nights as normal every day couples that live together would leave as soon as they notice that the date nights are for couples in long distance relationships, increasing my bounce rate.

And that page specifically doesn't really have much content on it either.

Well, @KnowOneSpecial gave the best suggestion. You need to create new pages and redirect the old ones. No need keep pages that confuse users and Google.

As mentioned above, I can't as this page is our main service, so I cannot simply create a new page for it. I just meant that I can't really relate it for an of the top keywords within my niche as it just wouldn't make sense.

Which is why I asked if maybe leaving it blank, would be a problem?

I think you should have to use correct keyword and that keyword should be in your content, but if you are confused then why don't you try to cover your keyword in meta descriptions.
