Website articles

hi all
i have a pregnancy information website. I am in the process of writing some interesting, relevant articles to add to my site. Will these help with my rankings? If not, I am still going to do but was just wondering. Is it also ok to add articles written by others?

I wouldn't add articles written by others unless they are guest writers on your site and their articles are not published anywhere else.

Have you done the necessary keyword research to know what to write about in the articles?

For incresing the site ranking
Create article link and related landing page. On that page u can create your article whatever u want.
Create the metatags using article related keywords.

And if u want than u can create the blog also and can interchange the links with ur site.

If the article you want to add to your site (from another site) adds value for your readers then add them. Don't fall for the duplicate content fallacy. There are plenty of sites that rank high with duplicate content.

We can not strictly say that article can only get PR value for our site rather say that it will help us to gather lots of traffic.No doubt it is beneficial if we will get few more inner links from a article content page but until
that page will cached or index by Google it will not pay any value for our site.But quality posting will definitely get value in future.
