Webposition 3- worth the $$ ? What about SEO Website builder
I have a program that I bought for $170 called SEO Website Builder,
which I built my first site with a few weeks ago. It got me to the 1st page on google for some keywords, but the more competitive keywords never ranked anywhere. I realise this is probably due to the fact that my site has a zero page rank. I am looking to expand my other site which has been running for years on PPC. It has a pagerank of 5. I was on the first page of google (by luck) for an extremely competitive keyword for ages, but recently got knocked down to position 50! I want to create new pages optimized for certain keywords. I have downloaded the free trial version of webposition 3. After spending hours checking out webpositions page analyser, it seems that the pages already in the top 10 of Google, for my keyword dont analyze well in webposition at all. This makes no sense - what the point of using a program designed to get you to the top of the SE's , when the top 10 pages in Google dont match what webposition advises? Should I just stick to SEO Website Builder, and attempting to mimic what other successful sites using my keywords have done? Is Webposition worth all that money? - (taking into account that I am a relative beginner) Anyone got any comments on SEO website builder and WebPosition 3 ? |

If you are using it specifically for Google, on-site optimization is just one part of it. You can be beat out by a technique called Google Bombing no matter how "optimized" your site is. Read through the FAQ about the importance of IBL's and anchor text. Personally I have never used $175 software to optimize my on page because I can do it myself and make sure it isnt spammy.

My site has a PR of 5 , and hope to get it to PR 6 so IBL's shouldnt be much of a problem.
As a beginner in SEO, I dont have the knowledge to optimise myself, without some sort of software. Would you recommend SEO Website builder or Webposition? |

Believe it or not, it will be just a quick for you to learn how to do it yourself as it will take for you to learn how to use a program to do it.
Since you are a beginner, just focus on adding the meta tags and selecting the right keywords. Wordtracker can help you with the keywords. After that just focus on writing compelling marketing copy. Once you write the copy, go back into and pepper in a few keywords in the first paragraph. Also think about it this way, if there is a software program that can do what I can do, why isn't every SEO using a software program. Things changes to fast to use a software program. And what if the software programs suck, then your SEO will suck. I will say that I use Web Position Gold, but I only use it for the ranking reports, if you use WPG do not run a ranking report for Google. Google will ban you for using automated software to check the rankings or for submitting URLs. I would be willing to bet that if you took a little bit of time to try it on your own, you would do just as good as either of the programs. Ray Gonzalez

I will keep it short:
Webposition SUCKS I'm sorry I have to say it that hard and hope the bad language used will be forgiven. But please don't be so stupid to fall for such a software. |
