Virgin SEO

Hi All

I am still wet behind the ears when it comes to SEO. I've been studying and researching SEO for the last 4 months. 4 weeks ago I bought an excellent SEO software package and developed my own website, www.webgrowth.co.za

I would like to hear the opinions from the more experienced SEO campaigners if my website is optimized properly. Where are the strong and weak points of the site?

Thanks

As I checked your site, I saw hidden texts in your content so try to eliminate it. Your site might not be indexed by Google. And continue optimizing your site by building backlinks

Purse9644,

I'd stay under the radar screen for a little while. Learn the ropes and get some practical experience before putting too many strong statements on your home page.

It seems I still have a lot to learn... What I will be doing then is simplifying my website just to offer basic services. And posting regular threads in seochat to become more knowleadgable, there's one thing I've learnt over the last couple of months and that is SEO is forever changing so one can never say they're a Master at SEO.

Thanks you all

SEO is an art and a science. It is not something you learn in 4 months, 12 months, two years.

When people trust you and pay you to deliver results, you better have the experience and expertise to deliver. Offering even the minimal paid services is an invitation to disaster for everyone you come in contact with.

You want experience, take on client projects for free. The experience you'll receive is more than payment enough.

I came upon a book a couple of months ago and I have to say it is the best (although I havnt read anything else on the topic). I dont feel I have to reference any other book after this, just keep in the loop of new development in search.

Its called SEARCH ENGINE MARKETING INC. by Mike Moran and Bill Hunt from IBM Press.

It sells on Amazon too. I recommend it for everyone.

i so agree with this. SEO is a combination of art and science

it is a continues learning process and also a continues process to be done to your site. Getting a PR isn't the end of everything, you need to continue doing your job every single day
