Viewing search engine rankings in different web browsers with variable results
Hi,
I've checked my search engine position for the term web design lincolnshire in Firefox Google has given it position 3. In Internet Explorer it is number 9, any reason for this? Thanks |

May be you might be having some different settings saved for both the browsers such as the geographic location or anything like that. Cant think anything other than that. Sometimes browser can make difference in the result.
As per my knowledge different browser taking data from different data center. Although in maximum time the result are same,but sometime there can be difference. Nothing to worry.

This does not make any difference with FF and I.E. as they are the showing the results for the request made to the web server.
The only thing which can be making this difference can be of the different Data Center. Means while you searched through FF and with I.E you must have got the result from different DC due to which you see the fluctuating results. Amit

my though, some data center varies there result in web browser. Though most of the time they are the same.

probably its a data center issue...well, I guess different browsers may show different results in SERP but its still hard to think about it anyway, can't really imagine such things.

Always practice to check rankings in IE,

I never experience like that situation before but I think the result are coming from different DC.
