Viewing search engine rankings in different web browsers with variable results

Hi,

I've checked my search engine position for the term web design lincolnshire in Firefox Google has given it position 3.

In Internet Explorer it is number 9, any reason for this?

Thanks

I cant say much about this but this has never happened with me and i dont think browsers make a difference in showing SERP's.

May be you might be having some different settings saved for both the browsers such as the geographic location or anything like that. Cant think anything other than that.

May be someone else who has experienced such a thing can throw some light on this issue.

Sometimes browser can make difference in the result.
As per my knowledge different browser taking data from different data center.
Although in maximum time the result are same, but sometime there can be difference.
Nothing to worry.

Orkut
This does not make any difference with FF and I.E. as they are the showing the results for the request made to the web server.

The only thing which can be making this difference can be of the different Data Center. Means while you searched through FF and with I.E you must have got the result from different DC due to which you see the fluctuating results.

This is theoretical for me also. Never saw any practical example, but it can be.

probably its a data center issue...well, I guess different browsers may show different results in SERP but its still hard to think about it anyway, can't really imagine such things.
