Variable PHP content - Good or Bad ?
Hi everybody.
I havea question I can't figure out for myself. www.)crea-soft(.com I had this site rank well for "jigsaw puzzles" 2 weeks ago. I changed it (made several changes), and now it fell from #5 to #6-#8 (bouncing form +- 2 ranks, mostly it stays on #8). One of the changes were that i added variable content. That is i change the screenshots urls every day, to rotate them using php. Now I don't know if variable content if fine or not by google. Some say that google loves updates, some say that a site must be old enough and it will gain some ranks if it's stable. Which one is it ???? |

WHOA!! You've got a fight on your hands.... When I see one of my best rankings jumping around like that I get my guns out because those guys are attacking my position. I"ll bet if you put on a backlinks effort and sharpen your optimization you will get rock solid above them.
Respond to this vigorously. If you work really hard maybe you will move up to #3... or even higher. Let us know when you've kicked their asses.

Thanks for the response guys!
I've now confirmed from 3 diferent sources that google loves new content.... As for the fight i have on my hands, except that i'm competing with sites like shockwave and jigzone, that should be piece of cake ( yeah right As for on site optimization, i really can-t do much more than what i already have.... I'm gonna try a backlink strategy. Google now spiders Flash and counts them as backlinks ( especially if you have a (C)opyright link inside ). I have some Flash puzzles on my site and i'm offering them to other web sites... So if you ever need to get backlinks for a site with flash games you might want to know about this strategy.... |

Sounds like you are runnin with the big dogs... great job.
Thanks for the tip on the flash puzzles. That will likely work with other types of content as well. I need to think about how I can use this. Good tip. |
