    Using exact keyword in permalink?

For seo should you use exact keyword in permalink? My keyword has stop words, I'm worried if I don't use exact keyword it will affect ranking, is this true?

Yes, it is always better practice to use the exact keyword in permalink as it will help in ranking altogether.

Nope. Only use keywords in internal anchors never on inbound links

For SEO it is very important to use exact keyword in the permalink. It will help you to get rank higher. Try to use Shorter URLs and Avoid dates in the URLs. I hope that will help you to get a better rank.

    keyword in permalink

Yes, it is best to use exact keyword in permalink for SEO but it is not the most important and try to remove stop word.

What KernalPanic is referring to goes like this....

Google back sometime in 2012 created this Algorithm call Penguin. One of the primary purposes of this algo is to detect link manipulation via keyword rich anchors. I suggest you read the many threads here concerning link building before you destroy any sites because you think you know how it's done.

For some reason I have a feeling some folks here think a permalink is what wp gives you as an option how to show your links and that it's only for their internal links on their wp site.
In reality it's any perminate link...do a search for permalink and read it's definition if you need to.

Yes, it's better to use the exact keyword. However, if it's not possible it will not be critical.

I would highly advise you don't use your target keyword as the anchor text. If your on-page SEO is done right, Google will understand what your content is all about.

Instead, use branded, naked URL, and LSI keywords for linking back to your site.

It's OK to have keyword rich internal links but not keyword rich inbound links.
