URL Spamming?

I read somewhere that having long keywords seperated by hypens within the title is considered spam by google

whenever i create page i name my url page

for example

w w w fighting-mma.com/mma-matchups/2008/ufc-88-gambling-dan-henderson-rousimar-palhares.php

if my naming the page hurtiung my site?

we have tested this (and keep testing all the time) so far it has not been bad and has in some cases been good as we have ranked for way out search terms that were relevant and that we did not even think about...

In the end it all depends on whats on the page, and how you have linkbuilt to that page internally and externally for it to be considered spam.

Not Bad yet...

This url type doesn't seem bad yet...I bet as more and more sites/developers use this tactic and stuff the urls with keywords Google will be more aware and restrictive on the keyword density in the URL's.

I haven't noticed it as bad... however what you need to consider is that the closest keywords to the start of your URL have the most ranking power.

Example - www.highbets.com/why-football-is-the-best-sport-vs-baseball

Football would be much easier to target than baseball in this case. IMO/experience.
