URL Parameters - Can I get away with this?
Hey,
Im looking at buying a cms I found, but the one thing stopping me is the fact that all pages are dynamic.
Pages within the site look like this ->
http://www.thesite.com/asp/default.asp?p=2
with the number changing for each page. Now is this going to at all hurt being indexed and ranking well in search engines (particularly Google)? As I have heard Google doesnt like parameters..
I have also found a URL Rewrite filter that I can use, that chops off everything after the parameter, but im not sure how much this helps as every page would like this ->
http://www.vailskiresorts.com/asp/default.asp
I found a site that uses this cms, and they appear to have many pages indexed by Google -> http://www.vailskiresorts.com..
So yeah, I just want to know am I going to hurt my chances at all by using this cms?
Thanks for your time.
