Transferring site to new domain.. Telling Google..?

Is there anyway to tell Google you're switching your site to a new domain so they keep all the important data? I have great rankings, bounce rate, etc and dont want to lose the history but have to change my domain for legal reasons. Any tips on the switch would be greatly appreciated. This is one thing I have never had to do over the years.

    No not really.

But if you do a mod-rewrite 301 redirect where all current pages redirect to their corresponding counterparts on the other domain you will mirror that which you have as much as possible.

It does take time - probably 3 to 4 weeks depending on crawl rate.

What would the best way to 301 redirect each page with the basic k2 theme in Wordpress be?
