Total Links To Your Site - Google Webmaster Tools

Hi guys, today I logged in Google Webmaster Tools to see how many backlinks I have... now it says that I have "Total links 549" my backlinks dropped from 30k to 549, is this an error ? anyone have similar problem with backlinks ?

May be this is a sign that you have that much law quality links.

this is due to that google has deleted your low quality links or else you have made a reciprocal link with other sites once you deleted their link they'll delete your link. I think this will reduce your serp status and google pr..

Google had a issue with webmaster tools that took a few days to sort. Follow Matt Cutts on twitter best way to get latest google info.

Your links should have returned by now. With out presuming your spamming you have alot of links, be prepared to lose poor quality ones through out the year. I suggest moving to author rank as soon as possible and getting your google+ account up to scratch.
